This past May, the University of Virginia Wind Ensemble traveled to San Juan, Puerto Rico for their Spring Tour. Over the course of 6 days, the 45 member ensemble performed at a variety of venues, including the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico and Fort Buchanan, and participated in collaborative sessions with local students. Though the island was still recovering from the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, sharing and exchanging music was a powerful way to contribute to their recovery. Please enjoy some of our memorable moments from Puerto Rico!
